Relationship problems, understanding and working them out!

Welcome to the Relationship problems page:

I have noticed a lot of questions in many forums, are about relationships and their problems. So I have decided to build this page, and hope to help some of you, with some great relationship advice.

Relationship problems
1) I caught him cheating:
A) Chances are, he doesn't love you with all his heart, you need to forget about him and move on with your life. Concentrate on you and spend more time with family and friends, who really love you.
B) He might have lost his way and you really love him. You must communicate with him your true feelings and he must truly listen if he wants to save the relationship, and understand that he lost all your trust, and it is his responsibility to do whatever is necessary to rebuild the trust. He must also understand that the trust will never be rebuilt to 100% and that if it ever happens again, you WILL leave him for good!

Relationship problems
2) He never listens to me:
A) Communication, you must talk to him and let him know your true feelings. You must make sure you have his undivided attention, by him communicating back to show you, he IS listening.

Relationship Problems
3) How do I get my boyfriend back:
A) Do you really want to. Did he truly love you, can you live without love. You need to think about these.
B) You must also truly listen to what he has to say, both verbally and physically.
C) Why did he leave you. Did you do something to cause him to leave, or did he just not love you.
D) Would he and you be willing to work really hard on the new relationships, because it will be a lot of work with communication, relationship trust, and love. This will take a long time, it will NOT happen over night.

Relationship problems
4) We fight all the time:
A) This is usually due to, lack of communication. You must find time alone, to truly talk and come to an understanding, on both sides. You Must:
a) Understand what is truly wrong. Where the anger is really coming from, what started it.
b) What can you do to heal the other, from both of you.
c) Is the love still there!
B) Make a date for this talk, and make sure there are no interruptions.
C) Absolutely, NO yelling or arguing.
D) Come prepared, with all your feelings written down, both of you.
E) Take notes of the others feelings and remedies, that you can both agree on.
F) HUG each other for 3 full minutes, this is very important.
G) Always talk everyday, reread your notes from the meeting and truly work on the remedies.

Remember, you loved each other once, and if children are involved, you must do what's right for them as well. Relationships are not easy, they take a lot of work, but sometimes you just have to let go and move on.

5 Steps To A Better Relationship, from both sides:
1) Love yourself first, but don't be selfish
2) Be honest with each other
3) Communicate with each other
4) Listen to each other
5) Always stay calm, take a timeout if needed

I used HIM scenarios, but you can substitute HER for HIM, and follow the same relationship advice given above.

If you have a relationship problem not listed above, you can contact Family ABC's advisers here, or you can check out our Relations book store here.

Thank you and have a wonderful life.
