Reading!

Reading, is so important for bonding and success. I will list some great stories for family night and bedtime in the family mall, please check there for some great prices. I will try to add more on a regular basis.

I would like to share with you, how important it is to hear the words. According to Jim Trelease and many other documented evaluations from different medical specialist groups and government groups alike, "Read Aloud Handbook", also found in the family mall, at the Books Store.

It is proven that people do what pleasures them, and when forced to do a boring school assignment or forced to learn to too early, people will shy away, and find something more pleasurable.

Age 6-7 is the developmentally natural time, to want to learn. Finland refuses to teach children before age 7, and some countries actually forbid it before 7 by law.

Children will always learn by imitating what they see and hear, so lead by example. If they see you enjoying it, they will build their vocabulary and learn to love it as you do.

100% of children want to read when they start school, but you lose 78% of them, due to the boring school assignments and text manuals, and also was not taught to love the passion of words. When children are taught the proper way, they will learn when they're ready.

Listening comprehension comes before reading comprehension. Children build their vocabulary by hearing words first, then seeing them. The larger the vocabulary, the more they will enjoy, the more successful they will be in life.

This is just a fraction of what I learned from this book. I was just like everybody else, ignorant, thinking that the schools knew what they were doing, by insisting children knew how to read before Kindergarten. I never knew how much damage we were causing our children.

Please do your children a huge favor and pick up a copy of this book. Check out the story time page, I will list some audible children s books their and even share 1 or 2 with you to enjoy.

5 Things To Remember:
1) Don't push your child to learn.
2) Read to them.
3) Enjoy the story with them.
4) Lead by example.
5) Have Fun!

Thank you and have a wonderful life
