Family Communication:

Family communication, without it, we would never get together and the world as we know it would just fade away.

You forget to pick up the milk at the store, you forget your daughters ballet class, you forgot to take out the trash. Why, because you weren't listening, and you keep hearing "You never listen to me!".

Yes, listening is a big part of communicating, and Communication is a big part of bonding. Without it, the world will be without purpose or love. Family communication is a two way street though, the talker must also listen to the listener and vice versa. With good effective communication, comes greater understanding of each other, which in turn, builds a much stronger bond.

Why do people not communicate very well. Lack of encouragement, lack of communicating yourself and not knowing how to change gears.

Lack of encouragement:
If you don't encourage people once in a while and build their self esteem, they lose interest in what you have to say. Building someone's self esteem, builds a bond and shows them you care about them. In return, they care about you and your feelings.

Lack of communicating yourself:
You talk and talk and don't pay attention to the fact, that no one is listening. Sometimes, you have to grab their attention and let them know you are talking, while listening to them and their body language, to show you care about them as well, so they will care about you.

Not knowing how to change gears:
You must learn to leave work at work or, the game in the living room when you're in the bedroom or, your wife's problem aside when dealing with your kids issues. You must shift gears and come into the present.

5 Steps To Better Communication:
1) Look them in the eyes, when talking.
2) Give them your full undivided attention.
3) Listen to what they have to say.
4) Respond to their conversation.
5) Feel what they are feeling.

Nobody said life was easy, but it can be so much fun and memorable, if you just take the time and communicate.

Thank you and have a wonderful life.
